We would like to invite you to join our free online event for Sustainable Energy Communities.
Date: Wednesday 31st March at 1pm
The Renewable Energy Support Scheme (RESS), which was introduced last year, provides communities with an opportunity to develop their own renewable energy project. In this webinar we will go through the process of what is involved in setting up a renewable energy project in your community.
Attendees will hear from SEAI on the supports that will be provided for communities on this journey, from communities who either are or have been on this journey and there will be a talk on Energy Cooperatives and how these might work in your community.
To ensure we answer all of your queries on this important topic we ask that you send us any questions you might have via this survey.
This event is the first step for Sustainable Energy Communities to understand what it takes to develop a renewable energy project and what policy and supports are available to achieve such a project. Gráinne Kennedy of 3 Counties Energy Agency will host the hour-long event. Gráinne will be joined by a panel of speakers who will provide practical examples of community energy projects. These speakers include:
Isabella Donnelly – Regional Coordinator – ORS
Caoimhe McCarthy – Programme Executive of Sustainable Energy Communities – SEAI
Cormac Walsh – CEO of Energy Cooperatives Ireland
John Fogarty – Community Power – Templederry Community
- First Steps for Communities – Gráinne Kennedy
